Jesus, it sounds like it was recorded yesterday. I'm on a beatles-fast and haven't listened to them since June waiting for 9-9-09 and I'm treating this as the "single"...holy hell, it's amazing. And I don't even *like* come together.
As a great man once again (and I pray will someday say again): are ya fookin' madferit?!

Jeez...Klein, Michael Jackson...that thing with Harvey. The lesson here: "Don't foock with me". If I was a Japanese border security agent, I'd be making my will right now.

Supposed to go see Cohen in a week or two...gotta say, I'm not even a little bit excited. Pretty comfortable saying I'll be asleep in my comfy, comfy chair at the National Arts Centre after no more than 12 songs. Hopefully I make it through hallelujah and tower of song.

he did something in liverpool for georgie - wonder why he didnt play raplh mctell' the streets of london at the roundhouse is ralph still alive? maybe so nick, ever been at the roundhouse back in the serious days? lovely place - the boby show was dreadful as usual but at least i been listening like a rolling stone with a stone sitting in front of me "ITS ROGER, DUDE! ROGER FREAKIN' DALTREY!" (the sound of the canadian boy while running into roger daltrey at the end of the show) Is it bad that I called him "Mr. Daltrey"? I'd like to think not, given he's more than double my age. Dude had the tinted glasses and and flowery shirt on...it was Roger F'in Daltrey, man. He said, and I quote: "he's takin' the piss out of his audience with that fackin' organ!" Legend.

The second version is the original single. The longer version was first released on the Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy LP. In other Who news, the deluxe version of Sell Out never came out. Sez it's out next week up here in soviet canuckistan, so you guys should have it soon, if not already. (Meanwhile the bob remasters got delayed two weeks up here and the new pete(r) doherty album is impossible to find. My kingdom for a good record store.)

The log driver's waltz! Ha! Haven't seen that in at least 15 years. Brilliant.

"author of a 500 page book on cover versions sung by Bob Dylan"
What a rich full life he must lead.
(I'm guessing that it's actually 12:30 PM in normal people time.)

pretty wimpy going off stage for that. the stones would have continued. Fuck off, Nick. Let's see you get slammed rib-first on your monitor and keep going. They were offstage for 5 minutes and came back and finished the show. Meanwhile, those of us in the crowd had no idea what had happened. Genuinely disturbing.

He'll change it in two weeks and add the roses and the jam, no doubt.
In the meantime, seeing the boys for the first time in over two years tonight. And then seeing them again on sunday, except at a festival with Weller supporting them. Madferit.

Yeah, but now they can vote for a woman *and* a crazy old white man who is 5 months away from turning Vietnam into a parking lot with the push of a button. Everybody wins! McCain-Palin 08!

"That's the Brian Eno curse, I think a lot of bands fall down on that, they get the concept first. Travis, for instance, poor lads, those kinds of bands always get stuck with Brian Eno pulling out a deck of cards saying "play it like it's orange."

This is the first I've heard of a MMT 'official' DVD release. I don't see it listed on Amazon and I haven't seen it discussed in the Beatle dork forum I look at. This is either a great scoop or a crazy Italian hoax. I think I'm going to see a social security check before I see an official release of Let It Be. I think *I'M* going to see a social security check before an official release of let it be. Sooner or later I'm going to have to just give in and watch the bloody thing.

"talk of a faces reunion" great news! steve marriott, ronnie lane.. what a group. can't wait to see them again. Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure Marriott wasn't in the Faces. I'm sure they can enlist bill wyman or some other schmuck to take Plonk's place. Pretty sure Mac and Kenney Jones aren't busy, so it's down to Rod and Ron...which means it'll happen, until Mick decides to rev up the Stones for another 100 mill. Me, cynical? Never.

After having listened to the chemical brothers remix of 'falling down' approximately 800 times since friday, I'm not sure if I'm excited about this, or terrified. Both, I guess.
