yes, it's that time of the year again. please post your amusing xmas thoughts on this thread. i'll start you off with this bit of info from today's guardian: Meet the new face of ChristmasMask that lets wearer talk like a Dalek expected to be Christmas hit. yep, i know what you're all thinking. How come it took the toy manufacturers so long to come up with such a great idea, right?

We've never actually ever had an Island Christmas thread have we? We have kind of an international member base. We could tell each other about how we celebrate Christmas in our native lands. I'll start. This is pretty much what Christmas in America looks like:

i actually started a wonderful 'what you used to get as a kid for xmas' thread on the ol' island but nevermind i know nobody read my posts anyway, here xmas is more or less like this a fucking boring family reunion where everyone eat so much for 24 never stopping hours until everyone get sick

this is a pretty typical sicilian xmas scene. the local count or baron dresses up as santa and trudges through the snow from village to village bearing gifts for the poorer kids and the homeless:

"Why are you so pissed off at invisible stuff Fingie?"
I'm not really, I just think it's quite silly; I was a mod at 2 Proboards msgboards, of course as a mod you can actually see who are the invisible ones, but even the members can figure it out by seeing the person, whose name is not down there with the other members online, post at that very moment.
sometimes it's handy of course, which can be confirmed by dino, where on one Forum both of us used it to avoid stalking dorks, but it's kinda silly in a small place like this where we all know each other, and where there are only 2 invisible users - you and nick.
not the end of the world, of course, but still... silly. cheers.

hey, remember that Al-Qaeda guy from your hometown who wanted to meet you to discuss certain unpleasant things? LOL, LOL! Being invisible was kewl, but also quite healthy in those days.
