if im remembering correctly, besame mucho was only a b-side. the beatles were huge coasters fans and this is the version they played. i tried to track down the track a while ago but couldnt find it anywhere on any of their cds...
paul almost certainly knew the song before the coasters version. it was a dance band standard in england in the 40s and 50s. you couldn't turn on the bbc light programme without hearing the joe loss orchestra playing it.
