The 4 Seasons - Dawn (Go Away) Chimes, harmonies, handclaps and falsettos make Cripes' head explode with glee.
The Singing Nun (Soeur Sourire) - Tous les chemins Another folk bints thread favorite....I never heard her attempt at a followup hit. Not bad really. I went to Catholic school up to 3rd grade...nuns still make me uncomfortable so I'm not gonna make fun of her.
Eden Kane - Boys Cry Fuckin' A right!
A great week for pop music in the holy month of February 1964.

Yes, but can he do coke and play at the same time, like the real Tom?
Seriously though, those people walking by are a pretty tough audience. Are they saying to themselves "Well, that's not bad, but the guy yesterday with no arms and no legs who was playing with his nostrils was much better"? If I saw that on the street, I'm pretty sure I'd toss the guy a quarter or something . . .

couple of things. one, the guy looks like he's using open tuning which makes it a lot easier to play with the feet. two, the song is just a riff, really.
i'd want to see him playing something like happiness is a warm gun with all the harmonies and rhythmic changes before i threw him a dime.

Terry Stafford - SuspicionI think this is the only instance of someone taking a song away from Elvis and owning it. Here's Elvis' original version of 'Suspicion'. Elvis' version doesn't have the spooky Star Trek ladies singing 'ooh-oo' or that wacky farty organ sound that make Stafford's 'Suspicion' a classic.

When did Elvis record Suspicion? I thought Terry Stafford wrote the song. And why didn't Elvis release his version as a single?
I love Stafford's version, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Elvis. He just owns this song.
