as bart said. another example of that "technique" can be seen in this great little vid (Furry's playing in open G there, so when it's time for the C chord, he just nails the 5th fret): www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCqbKdnHZTs

just downloaded a terrific 1972 concert. here's a great little tune from the french bard Georges Brassens (1921-1981), already posted about him over here (page 8), anyhow, I can't get it out of my head! Gret chords progression - Bm, G, F# being the main bit, then the quick part, D, B7, Em... I love it, me. Check it out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KggrTxuXt5Iit took me couple of hours and a gmail chat with a classic guitarist friend to figure out that was actually a B7 in the 2nd (fast) part. Like, what kind of a B7 is that? The friend said it could be a B dim as well (dis,A,Cfis), but it's actually a B7 without the bass (A) string, right? (pause on the 48th sec. for instance) And then he plays the Bm but with the empty D string, and then quick to the usual Bm. Quite nice.

"He did 'C'mon Everybody' twice, a common practice back in those days."
Gotcha. As en encore, perhaps?
Anyhow, that interview was pretty gay. Actually, I hate all interviews from that period, especially the moronic interviewers. I mean, it's 7 february 1959, Buddy died 4 days earlier, for God's sake say a few words about the man.
