Hi, conc. This board is kinda dead. Well, it's 3 AM over here and I'm about to watch Bunuel's last, "That obscure object of desire". It is also super hot in eastern Europe, as usual. Hopefully it's better in Canada.
Well, that' about it. Talk to you in a year or two I guess.

I kept telling him to have that fucking eye looked at, and he kept saying it was nothing.

Saw him this july, at the Exit festival in my hometown. He was quite frail, here's a pro-shot AoS:
The only other time I saw him was in 2002, nasty gig:

Hungarian poet Cseh Tamas (1943 - 2009). Although Hungarians are our neighbours, the language is tough and I have no idea what he's singing about except that the song is called "Krakow train", but I'm digging the nice chord changes and melody. Video from 1980, he looks kinda like young Dustin "Kramer VS Kramer" Hoffman there:

Dutch TV interview with Morricone posted today: Translation of the Tarantino segment, thanks to a belgian friend: "I don’t want to repeat myself. Can I repeat for Tarantino what I’ve done for Leone? It’s not possible, right? It would be absurd. It would make Tarantino’s movie look hideous, because that music is old, you see. I had to write it in another way. But I have written very important music for him. I don’t know if he directly realized that, or if the others did. They didn’t expect that music, that’s why they didn’t understand it. But he told me, after he had listened to it twice: it’s ok, I like it. But at first it had been a shock. He had expected something completely different. But I didn’t give that to him, because I didn’t want to give him something he knew already." - hehehe, you have to laff at the image of Tarantino scratching his head going WTF happened with bullwhips, whistles, twanging guitars! Morricone & Tarantino in the studio this july:
