Tomorrow morning: Manchester City Football Club v. Stoke. Either everything will change....or only most things will have changed. I desperately want us to win a trophy, obviously, but a) qualifying for the champions league and b) beating united at wembley are the biggest things to happen to me (along with the comeback v. gills at wembley in 99) since I've been a fan. The last month or so has been hard to comprehend. Hopefully tomorrow is the cherry on top of the sundae. But...nothing will top the final whistle at wembley on april 16th, 2011.

just saw upside down. great (even though i couldnt understand some of it - should have had subtitles).
best bit - noel meets mcgee for the first time - " he looked like he was on acid for 6 months".
worst bit - not enough of mary chain (no mention of psychocandy ?)

this is the "official" story of how oasis chose its name (from wiki):
Liam suggested that the band name be changed to Oasis. This change was inspired by an Inspiral Carpets tour poster that hung in the Gallagher brothers' bedroom. One of the venues the poster listed was the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon.

This was The Beatles first concert to be professionally organised outside the Liverpool area.
It was arranged by the club's manager Tony Stuart. The Oasis Club, which stood on Manchester's Lloyd Street, was owned by Kennedy Street Enterprises.
The Beatles' setlist for the show was: The Hippy Hippy Shake, Sweet Little Sixteen, The Sheik Of Araby, September In The Rain, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, Take Good Care Of My Baby, Till There Was You, Memphis, Tennessee, What A Crazy World We Live In, Like Dreamers Do, Money (That's What I Want), Young Blood, The Honeymoon Song, Hello Little Girl, So How Come (No One Loves Me), Ooh! My Soul, To Know Her Is To Love Her, Roll Over Beethoven, The Love Of The Loved, Dance/Twist In The Streets, Dream, and Searchin'.
The group performed at the Oasis Club four times in total, the last of which was on 22 February 1963. The building, which stood at 45-47 Lloyd Street, was redeveloped in the 1990s and no longer exists in the same form.
