He'll change it in two weeks and add the roses and the jam, no doubt.
In the meantime, seeing the boys for the first time in over two years tonight. And then seeing them again on sunday, except at a festival with Weller supporting them. Madferit.

pretty wimpy going off stage for that. the stones would have continued. Fuck off, Nick. Let's see you get slammed rib-first on your monitor and keep going. They were offstage for 5 minutes and came back and finished the show. Meanwhile, those of us in the crowd had no idea what had happened. Genuinely disturbing.

when people start analysing that video the band's street cred will be down the drain. the spice girls would have done better than liam.

In fairness, noel got a bad knock but it was a chance for liam to prove the "give em a slap" stuff but all he did was prance around.
"Following an incident during Oasis' performance at the Virgin Festival in Toronto, when Noel was attacked by a stage invader Oasis are regrettably being forced to announce that tonight's show in London, Ontario cannot go ahead as planned.
Noel fell heavily on to his monitor speakers when he was pushed suddenly from behind by his attacker and suffered bruising to his ribs and hip. He was examined in a local hospital after the band's performance and has been advised to rest. Unfortunately, despite resting up yesterday, the extent of his injuries mean he will not be able to perform tonight. The band are very keen to complete their Canadian tour and the final London, Ontario show will now be rescheduled to Monday the 15th December. Ticket holders are asked to retain their tickets which will be valid for the new date. Refunds for those unable to attend can be made at point of ticket purchase."

NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization today announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Records for the launch of the new album "Dig Out Your Soul" by British band Oasis, in stores October 7, 2008. The launch will see Oasis use the streets of New York City as the stage to premier their new music. Entitled "Dig Out Your Soul in the Streets," the launch which will be captured in a documentary created by NYC & Company's creative agency of record, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) New York, will take place on Friday, September 12, 2008 beginning at 10am with an intimate rehearsal session where their new songs "The Turning," "Bag it Up" and "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady," along with new single "The Shock of the Lightning" will be taught to an eclectic group of more than 30 New York City street musicians from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Music Under New York Program. That same afternoon, the street musicians will take to the City streets to perform three unreleased Oasis songs publicly for the first time. "We are excited that Oasis has chosen to not only launch their album in New York City, but also to enlist the help of our talented and diverse street musicians," said George Fertitta, CEO, NYC & Company. "Considering the fact that some of the most internationally-celebrated musical performers of this Century have had their start right here on our streets, there could not be a more fitting place for this to happen than New York City, and we encourage New Yorkers and visitors alike to take the opportunity to see these unreleased songs performed for the fist time on our City streets." "This is a great example of new thinking applied to an album launch, a sort of backwards album release, where the music starts on the streets instead of ending up there," said Kevin Roddy, Executive Creative Director, BBH New York. "And there could not be a more relevant place for this new approach than the capital of street culture, New York City, which will provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop for Oasis's new songs to be unveiled." Street musicians will perform Oasis's new songs at locations throughout the City including MTA approved subway station platforms at Grand Central, Times Square, Penn Station and Astor Place. A full list of street locations can be found at nycvisit.com/oasis and oasisnet.com. Additionally, bios for all of the selected street musicians, which come from all parts of New York City, and have different ethnic, musical and creative backgrounds, can be found on NYC & Company's dedicated microsite, along with exclusive clips from a documentary of the full event, from the musicians meeting Oasis to learning and playing their songs on the City streets, to be shot by renowned music video directors The Malloys and produced by BBH. Initial footage will be available to view at nycvisit.com/oasis on Friday, September 12 from 6pm, in advance of the full documentary which will be debuted shortly before the release of the Oasis album. Oasis, along with NYC & Company, is further encouraging fans to film the street musicians using their own recording devices and to post the user generated content on a unique You Tube channel dedicated to the Oasis album launch. Additional content will be uploaded to www.youtube.com/digoutyoursoulsongs in the weeks leading up to the album release. For fans wishing to learn Oasis's songs themselves, from September 16, 2008, sheet music will be able to view at www.oasisinet.com/digoutyoursoulsongs.

its the folk process, man!
Music Radar) Oasis have been accused of nicking, borrowing - you know, ripping off - a bit of Sir Cliff Richard's 1976 hit Devil Woman on their new song The Turning. Noel, Liam Gallagher and company posted the song on their MySpace page last week ahead of Dig Out Your Soul's release today (Oct. 6), and almost immediately, Cliff Richard fans began writing on the singer's website about what they say is an uncanny resemblance.
One user by the name of Rolybunny says, "This is a rip-off. What'll they do next? Remix Mistletoe and Wine?" On the other hand, some Richard fans are elated, viewing the similarities as something of an honor for the aging pop star. Janine Castle, from the International Cliff Richard Movement, says, "I'm astounded Oasis use Cliff as their muse - but delighted. I can hear the similarities. It's about time Cliff's musical genius got some recognition."

Noel Gallagher Angry That HMV No Longer Sells CD’s
Now, everybody knows that a music shop should, technically, stock all the latest chart CD’s… right? Wrong! In fact, Noel Gallagher has been shouting about his outrage over a music shop that no longer sells compact discs.
The Oasis guitarist took time out to vent his anger in his blog, saying how disappointed he was to find that the HMV in Selfridges have decided not to bother selling CD’s anymore.
Noel popped into the London store during a break on the band’s Dig Out Your Soul tour, but was left empty handed and foul-mouthed; "I went into the HMV in Selfridges - I could spend two hours in there just looking at records - only to be told by one of the staff that they don't sell CDs anymore!! A f**kin' outrage.
"'It's the future,' said the kid. 'F**k the future,' said I. IT. IS. THE. END. OF. THE. WORLD. So what happens now then? Do I actually have to buy a bastard computer to buy music? Where is it all gonna end? In all seriousness though, it's very sad. I may have to move to Japan!"
Although we’d like to point out the ludicrousness of HMV not selling CD’s anymore, we think Noel has just about summed it up!

In today's not shocking news: the single from Liam's "new" band (aka everyone in oasis not named Noel) is terrible.
