Because it was recorded in 5.1, so if you try and stuff it all in 2-channel, it sounds awful. And the sad part is they've released 3 songs from that show as b-sides and another as a bonus CD in the NME. And they all sound shit. Sounds nice in 5.1, though.
They don't have a frontman? What?

Watch for the scenes in acquiesce and songbird where Noel and Liam get in a little tiff. High comedy. Liam completely ignoring the crowd and singing songbird facing Noel is just too good to make up.

Me and my travels
Shaun Ryder, musician
Interview by Jon Bennett The Observer Sunday November 25 2007
MY FIRST HOLIDAYS WERE...
Big family holidays to Cornwall. Me, our kid and all our cousins all went down. You can imagine Cornwall in the early 1970s being hit by a load of Mancs. It didn't know what had hit it: we used to rob it blind. No one down there seemed to know that shoplifting existed. Cheapest holidays I've ever had.
MY BEST EVER HOLIDAY WAS...
I can't remember. My memory is absolutely terrible. It's crystal clear until I was 17 and then there are just massive gaps. I'm told I went to Cuba to film a video; I genuinely don't remember ever being there.
TRAVELLING USED TO BE...
All about finding drugs. When we first went to New York in the mid-1980s, crack was just being written and talked about. That was our main mission - to find out how to make crack proper.
WHEN WE'RE TOURING...
Do I sightsee? No way. Being on the road you see hotel rooms, tour buses and dressing rooms. When I get up now I want to go out for a walk and see things, but the problem is I live in the night-time, so by the time I wake up it's showtime.
HOMESICKNESS IS...
For soft lads. I've always liked the travel in my job - I've done it since I was a kid and it was my education. Yeah you miss your family, but you just have to blank it out.
MY IDEAL TRAVELLING COMPANION IS...
My girlfriend, the gorgeous Joanna. She'd be good to go away with because she's a laugh but she's organised. She's four-and-a-half months pregnant though, so we'll not be going anywhere for a while. We'll be chilling in the house in Glossop.
TRAVELLING TEACHES YOU...
Wherever you are in the world people can spot from the way that you walk if you ain't streetwise. I don't want to go on about the danger I've been in because I'll sound like I'm bragging. I could've been murdered 15 times.
THE WORST TIME I EVER HAD ABROAD WAS...
People go on about the Caribbean when the Mondays were doing the last album. I got myself stoned because the knobheads in the band were getting on my tits so I developed a nice fat crack habit. But that were nowt to do with Barbados.
THE PLACE I'LL ALWAYS GO BACK TO IS...
Ibiza. I first went in the 1980s and it were great then and it still is. Great place to go if you're young but you can even have a quiet time over there. I'm a big fan of Australia as well, especially Perth.
MY NEXT HOLIDAY WILL BE...
I've never been to Thailand so that might be OK. Some people after they've toured just want to sit on their arse at home. I want to sit on my arse but I still like to have a chilled holiday.
· The Happy Mondays' new album, Unkle Dysfunctional, is out now.

Since the great Blur vs Oasis chart battle of 1995, there have been some ridiculous stories about the two gangs' rivalry – but possibly none more cheesy than one we spotted this morning (January 30).
According to one tabloid who shall remain nameless to spare their blushes, Damon Albarn and the Gallagher brothers are teaming up with Blur bassist Alex James to make a special cheese for next year's Brits.
The tabloid's 'source' also reveals that the Gallagher brothers have long been fans of cheese.
Apparently, the two gangs are creating an extra-strong Stilton, which will be offered as a dessert at the awards ceremony next month.
Perhaps they could call it 'Brie Here Now'...but with both lots currently very busy with musical projects we doubt very much a Blur and Oasis reunion through cheese will come about, but still it's a lovely thought, isn't it?

Great news. I always wondered why more pop stars didn't make cheese.

I'm looking at the new ish of Mojo here and I see that Paul Weller's new record will be a double disc set* called '22 Dreams'.
They say it's his 'most eclectic outing since his days with The Style Council'* Paul says 'There's a tribute to Alice Coltrane and a spoken-word piece calld God--about spirituality, not institutionalised religion. it's been liberating and a lot of fun'.*
*--Huge scary red flag warning sign--Caution! Shitty album ahead! Watch out Lou Reed--this may knock The Raven out of the top spot of biggest piece of crap in the world list.

Dunno....it sounds interesting, from what I've heard. The Chief is on at least one track, and Weller (allegedly) is working with loads of different people on it. It will indeed likely be mostly shit, but you never know...he's surprised me before.
