you're all way off. he does the ads cos his brain has gone. like, has anybody noticed that whatever ad he's doing he wears that stupid cowboy hat?

I agree with Owen. Bob's not doing ads in the 60s and 70s was just a smart marketing decision. There was more money in being "pure" and not doing commercials. These days, the marginal hit his sales figures will take is a fraction of the money to be made doing ads, so he's cashing in. Good for him.

in the 60s and the 70s no one would ever accepted a freak like bob dylan or neil young or even the stones in their ads, c'mon, they were still 'the other part', the bad people, remember the keef richards 'drugs free america' photo
now rock stars are part of the establishment like any hollywood actor or super model, they are good for commercials now

Hahaha I could have seen Elvis & Bob last night, but I managed to stay away from him this year! Which was pretty hard considering where he was playing 3 nights in a row. I bet he still sounded like ass anyway. I'm happy I didn't fall for that shit band this year. I've broke the pattern now, maybe I can quit Bob like I quit smoking before. Wish me luck...
