I don't think so, work won't let me (it's not that close anyway), plus I'm seeing Clapton & Winwood day after tomorrow...

That one should be pretty awesome.
So how was the show? Did Bob, like, look right at you?

Hehehehe, sure he did... joking aside, I was pretty close actually, I was in 'fan pit', 3rd or 4th row (it was 'standing only' category), Zim was very relaxed, terrific arrangement for Masters of War, concert running time 110 min. Quite enjoyable night come to think of it, and when that drum intro for RDWomen started, oh man...
This was believe it or not my first Boby concert; he only played once here before, in 1991, just before the war, I was 13 and into Beatles only at the time, so I've missed it. At least there is a soundboard bootleg available of that one... and I'm glad I've missed it. (although he did "One more cup of coffee" then)

looks like boby was on form in england the other day:
"After a mercifully short set, he reappeared to grunt and yodel through Like A Rolling Stone and Forever Young and the crowd streamed away in stunned disbelief"

This is old hat by now, but I don't know how closely you queers follow the mainstream boby boards nowadays, so here, from the American television program "Pawn Stars": (Premise: pawn shop mascot Chumlee is tasked with finding Bob in Vegas and getting him to sign a copy of Self Portrait) www.youtube.com/watch?v=32NWr5RKDRg

"The Byrds regular appearances at Ciro's during March and April 1965 allowed them to hone their ensemble playing, perfect their aloof stage persona, and expand their repertoire. In addition, it was during their residency at the nightclub that the band first began to accrue a dedicated following among L.A.'s youth culture and hip Hollywood fraternity, with scenesters like Kim Fowley, Peter Fonda, Arthur Lee, and Sonny & Cher regularly attending the band's performances. On March 26, 1965, the author of the band's forthcoming debut single, Bob Dylan, made an impromtu visit to the club and joined The Byrds on stage for a rendition of Jimmy Reed's "Baby What You Want Me to Do" jimmy reed, baby what you want me to do: www.sendspace.com/file/rdl88m

Caught the old man's show last night in the middle of buttfucknowhere, NY. Decent start, brutal middle, decent end. Some cute little vocal moments, some unforgivably awful moments, and some laugh-out loud funny bits. And that was just desolation row. (seriously.)
2 first-time songs for me, which is saying something these days. (And another one off the new album, which I don't count.)
Weller in NYC last week was miles better.

i think that was pretty cool on Bob's part - what a fucking racket though eh? Haven't we had enough of bands with guys in suits, with beards and CAT caps? We appear to be entering our second decade of this shit with no respite
