The Beatles covered Joe Brown's A Picture of You (which is 2 pages back) on one of their early BBC sessions. George sang lead. Joe Brown and George ended up being neighbors in Henley on Thames and it was Joe Brown who turned George on to George Formby and ukuleles.  Joe & George in '92. |

surely this u tube stuff makes a mockery of the copyright laws? like, you can download the audio of all this stuff and make your own mp3s, right?

interesting beatles fact: when please please me hit the melody maker chart - on january 19, 1963 - at number 47, love me do was still in the chart at number 26 and had been in the top 30 every week since its release. it wasn't the flop it's often considered to be. it was a sticker. showed its class.
