Thanks for the tip.
It might not be hardcore enough for me.
I reckon my Xmas book is gonna be the unexpurgated Lewisohn fab volume 1.

Never heard about Twitchy's drunk driving arrest. I wonder if there are any pictures of him.
I guess I'll have to get the book(s) when they come out.
They should just release all the BBC stuff in a box. It comes out to about 10 cds. That material is the most enjoyable unreleased fab stuff there is.

We'd love to hear from Michael Greig.
I'm guessing that Michael is up in 1965 BD Press Conference heaven with Ralph Gleason by now.

A quick shout out to Sept. 9!
Hard to believe it's been four years since the fab remasters came out.

David Frost is out of here.
I stuck it in here since Pete would quietly make fun of him whenever possible.

Good on Pete.
Funny how boby's lawyers have pounced on and collected from people like Rod Stewart or that Hootie band with the colored fellow. Kinda fucked up if you ask me. boby steals shit all the time--there should be some kind of code of honor there.

Great find!
It's rare to hear a bad song about food.

It looks like the Proboards guys got to our forum with all the 'upgrade' stuff.
I wish they wouldn't do that.

'Mr. Kite' was an odd choice for so many reasons. Since Pepper is being represented well with 'Lovely Rita'....'Kite' is just a lesser song. I saw him do it on TV and it was ok. It was kind of like when The Beatles first came out and you didn't know exactly who sang what all the time--it all just sounded Beatle-y.
He should do 'She Loves You'.
If that was in the set list I'd go to Golden Gate Park next week and fight my way through the fucking humanity to be right up front.

Hmm...interesting question.
I remember hearing 'The Weight' on the radio back then alongside songs like 'Time Has Come Today' and 'Piece of My Heart' and it sounded right in place and good.
Does it stand up? I'll be nice and say yeah.....it's kinda like the new 'Will the Circle Be Unbroken' so good riddance to that load of crap.
I saw 'The Weight' live 3 times--first time at the '74 boby show, then later that year in the summer when The Band opened up for CSNY, and finally at the first Ringo All Starr Band show in '89 when Festus and Danko were on the team.

Thanx for the report SK. Glad boby tossed you a one off. the first time (ever?) that boby decided to try for a crowd singalongIt is a rarity. Here's a vid of boby leading a singalong of 'Blowing' in Barcelona in '84: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE0Bwem6yCA

Slim Whitman is out of here. "I don't think you've ever heard anything bad about me, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'd like my son (Bryon) to remember me as a good dad. I'd like the people to remember me as having a good voice and a clean suit."Fuckin' A! Una Paloma Blanca on YouTube
