Hey, enough of your positive Beadle talk here. us that "other" thread for that.
Doug Evans is stalking Yoko as we speak.

I just got word that the new Help DVD does not really include any deleted scene. It shows some stills from the scene, but not the scene itself.
Fuckin' liarheads.

That's because you didn't buy the $8000 superdeluxe special limited edition.

More fucked up stuff: It seems the new Help DVD went for the trendy widescreen look and they sacrificed the top and bottom of the frames. Check it-- Original: New: Widescreen is an annoying gimmick to begin with. Fuckers.

Like, without the hand in the frame, you can't really be sure if that's Ringo or not. More money, less product.

My local cool radio station had a special tonight about the worst Beatle solo stuff. 3 hours long (and probably too short, ha!), it's already on the archive to listen to at your convienience here (the Jan 25 2008 show, duh) www.wfmu.org/playlists/SB Sue (Pseu) is one of my favorite djs on there, although she gets a little tongue tied on this show (still with some good insights though). The dude Gaylord nails it frequently. Don't want to ruin it too much, but at the begining of the show, I called Temporary Secretary, and it was played.

Did The Beatles inadvertently invent the term 'solo album'? I don't think there was such a term as 'solo album' before The Beatles broke up.

two early guys who "went solo" in england were paul jones from the manfreds and alan price from the animals. whether they used the term "solo album" for their stuff, tho, i'm not sure. there was also the crazy california guy who made that "oar" album. wasn't that a solo album?

"the price to pay" by alan price and "my way" by paul jones were both released in 1966. we need month (maybe week) info here.

I think those other guys refered to their solo stuff as 'off for a wank'. But that Beatle solo stuff, they were important 'solo albums'.
