Well, time does tell, eh? Looks like Hillary (please don't call her Clinton, she's no Bill) is still in it. The Dem race won't be won until at least Feb. 5. Obama doesn't have this thing wrapped up at all. These little state races don't ever win anyone anything. Wait until the big ones like Cal, New York, Florida, Texas and Illinois come in. The 3 Dems all have enough money to wade through those primarys. If you look at Hillary and Obama's voting record they are basically the same. Almost every vote was identical. The only difference is Obama sounds and looks better to me. There's also the trust factor and personally I don't trust Hillary.
David you are wrong about the war thing. Yes, Americans want to win, but they've come to the point that they know we are losing (well, in my book already lost) the war. So America won't vote for that old guy to promote more of the same old war.
Some King I liked your Republican idea. Reagan's corpse would be better than any of those jackasses running and would do better governing while dead than he did alive (the cunt).

Yeah, it looks like Hillary's still in it. I guess all the candidates will start crying for the cameras now.
Zilla, I agree the war in Iraq was lost a couple of years ago no matter what anybody does at this point. I just think that doesn't mean just enough Americans can't be convinced to give it one more chance. But the only guy who can convince them is McCain.
Still, if Hillary's the Dem nominee, it won't matter. It will be just be her and whoever the Republican is throwing mud at each other all year and last one standing gets to be president. At least it will be good for some laughs . . .

just read the analysis and hillary scooped up all the female votes (which went to obama in iowa). so it looks like the tears really did win it for her. you have to laff at your average female voter, right?

McCain isn't as biblethumping as some of the others. Huckabee is a former preacher, so he's got McCain beat there. Though McCain does like war a lot.

it's all relative, remember. mccain may be bad and very old but the rest of the repub possiblities are unelectable, i'd say. so unless a new face emerges (unlikely) it has to be him.

unlike the dems who are so fucking ideologically demented (especially the magyck krystal earth mother types) they are capable of presenting guaranteed losers like kerry, mccarthy, etc as their candidate, the repubs usually present a winner. someone who has "presidentialness" (authority, cool, sculpted face, few words, patriotic...). the repubs understand that it's all about how good you look on tv. bill knows this too, of course, and that's why he probably got hillary to cry for the new hampshire female vote. problem is it will rebound on her if she actually wins the nomination. you can already see the repeated playings of the video in the repub tv ads. message? would you trust this weeping old woman with the nuclear button?
bill knows this too, of course, but winning new hampshire took precedence. how he copes with it in the next few primaries will be a real test of his slick willyness.

Americans don't seem to vote for intellectual types. They get equated with nerds. As far back as Adlai Stevenson it's been happening.

You're right Nick. The Reps always seem to pick the best of the litter. The Dems hardly ever do, especially of late. I'm awfully afraid we'll do it again. Not picking the best candidate (Kucinch) all around is one thing, but to not even pick an electable one (Edwards) is sure torture on us good guys.
Cripes makes a good point too...If we're going with the dumbest out there Giuliani fits the bill pretty good. Call me crazy, but I'm not sold that McCain will get the nod for the Reps.

So Hillary is an Ice-Queen bitch and a weepy emotional cunt? The Republicans have their 2 pronged attack on her, possibly masking the fact that they have no interesting candidate of their own.

"The Dems hardly ever do, especially of late"
this could have something to do with it:
"A study of data since 2004, carried out by Gallup last year, found that women made up 60% of Democratic party supporters, while men made up just 40%. Self-described independents and Republicans, on the other hand, had a 52% to 48% male-female ratio"

None of the women I talk to seem to care for Hilary that much.
I think after she got beat in Cornhaven women in New Hampshire perhaps thought it was time to rally a little bit.

i think what we have here is a thatcher thing. many women will be supporting hillary just cos she's a woman. as a woman she's cool: breaking all the rules, first ever woman pres candidate, tough, winner, top manager...
as a woman she's revolutionary. as a person she sucks ass big time.
