interesting sunday night at the london palladium episode with - at 14 mins 19 secs - the john barry seven live playing the theme from juke box jury and then backing adam faith for a couple of numbers. in the john barry line-up is the famous 50s/60s session guitarist vic flick ( from wiki: Flick was a session player, featured on many early 1960s UK pop records. Flick was a member of the George Martin Orchestra, playing on the soundtrack of the film A Hard Day's Night). on piano is les reed who later wrote a shitload of hits including delilah, it's not unusual, the last waltz, a kind of hush.

this week's on the beat is well worth checking out. first half guest is rod davis of the quarrymen, nothing new there but some nice stories anyway... second half guest is gianni russo who played carlo rizzi, the psycho son-in-law in the godfather. don't know how much of what he says is bullshit but a lot of the stories would be verging on the slanderous if he were talking about the living. lots of sinatra, dino and godfather gossip. great listening:
