saw the new david chase movie a couple of days ago: Not Fade Away.
one of those movies about american teenage mates starting up a band after hearing the beatles and stones in 64. it's severely flawed as a movie but probably better musically than any other film of its type. steve van zandt worked with chase as a sort of musical guru so it has a real authentic feel to it. not a masterpiece, i'd say, but well worth checking out for some great scenes. certainly catches the feel of the times.
