It kinda is, but there are always guys around like nick who saw boby in '66 or my old comic book store guy who saw Elvis in Oakland in '56 or some silly old woman who saw The Beatles around to make me look like a newbie dilettante.

But when you meet that old woman, aren't you like, what a waste? Like, she probably had no idea what she was seeing. And she's probably lying anyway.
Fuck that old cunt.

"I actually saw Hal Blaine live. It was one of those once in a lifetime gigs. Duane Eddy at this club on Broadway back in '83. Steve Douglas on sax, Hal on drums and Ry Cooder on 2nd guitar. Definitely a lifetime top 10 show."
you fucking lucky cunt.
the great thing about living in rome during the reign of the emperor augustus was that you got to see virgil performing his stuff down the local piazza. liverpool in that 63 - 66 window was quite cool but it's not california (or new york), right?

Oh yeah...I resent the hell out of them.
That Duane Eddy show was the tits. They opened with Peter Gunn....the second or third song was Moovin' & Groovin'....just like the fucking record except live. Steve Douglas stepping up for the sax solo was boner city. I usually don't go in for those shows when all the instrumentalists take turns doing solos, but this shit was action packed.

some relations from america were visiting a few years ago. the usual family thing. anyway they find out im a dylan fan and one of them tells me she saw him live in 64 in NY. and not only that but the beatles too, same year, in washington DC (which would make it the first beatles concert in the US)
i hate old people.

here's the beatles playin g your feets too big in hamburg: www.sendspace.com/file/hwkq2jsounds pretty much like an audience tape of summer days, right? looks like it's taken boby 50 years to get to sound like the beatles did when they were teenagers.

i came across this muddy waters/otis spann thing a few weeks ago and have been playing it regularly even though it's not really my type of thing: www.sendspace.com/file/mczm76i got to thinking this is probably the sound that boby is aiming at with his new group. sophisticated interplay between the guitar, piano and vocalist. a blues/jazz sort of thing with lots of space for improvised genius. problem is you can't do it with just any old pro musician. you need serious talent all round the group to pull it off. and if you don't have the talent around you and you continue with it you're either thick or deaf. or brain dead.

I like Obama, but that video gave me a headache. If I were a betting man, I'd say Bob has joined Arlo and is pulling for Ron Paul.
