yeah owen - it was a jam in some club, several other musicians as well (Johnny Winter I think, Buddy Miles), I've only listened to it once as a kid, about 15 years ago and hated it, Morrison was drunk and useless and kept shouting.. and shouting.. and shouting. About wanting to suck Jimi's dick, for example.

bbc showed a clip of mitch telling a nice story about jimi...when he was cooking breakfast he'd still have the guitar strapped on. he'd be turning the sausages and then pick out a riff on the guitar, then turn the egg, then play some more....
