I was just watching some '63 interview from Dublin and they asked the Beatles about an Irish influence. Paul answered, 'well, we're all Irish....except for Hymie over there (pointing at Ringo)'.
LOL @ Paulie.

"and had a great sense of humor--even surpassing Lennon in that regard in the later years" when i first saw this i thought it was lennon who says "sod" at the end but it actually sounds like george. beatles and ken dodd: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5Ef0SrTAvcIt was indeed George. You can see his mouth move as it's being said. And here's a youtube link to that Irish interview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hn3E0PMiE

In torrent news, the JPGR site is back up. I think the link will give you a page that says 'Forum'. Click that and jump through the hoops (you have to re-register) and there you are. Also Demonoid is back up, except for Canadians. Says here: We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and we need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this.I'd be pissed if I was a Canadian. I know that America does a lot of fucked up things like the war, but that stuff really doesn't enter into my lifestyle. I see it on TV and all, but I don't really have to think about it if I don't want to. But if my government wanted to stand in the way of me getting Fab downloads I'd be very salty about it.

Something about that appeals to me. I'll just send the fat kid up to Canada to incite a riot. We shall overcome! LOL

If only George had picked up a banjo instead of a sitar.....think of all the time that wouldn't have been wasted.

within you without you was the equivalent of the going for a piss or going to the bar song in a concert. you were at a party listening to the new album and it gave you time to go through to the kitchen for a fill up. it was so long you could even have a crap as well as a piss. i seem to remember only ever listening to it from a different room.

When my brother & I were kids we used to do this silly dance to The Inner Light where we'd stick out our lower lip and kick up our feet and wave our arms...actually, to this day whenever we get together.....

Having a crap while Within You Without You is playing is considered blasphemy in some cultures.
