"London Sinfonietta diretta Jurjen Hempel, with Baby Lemonade e The Residents

the, "london sinfonietta", is just a bunch of loser classical guys. the rest of the cast are nobodies. the only interesting thing about the show is the phrase, "baby lemonade", cos it's the title of a syd barrett song.
the rest is silence, as the great man once said.

alex chilton was a disgrace
you people ask me if i'm going to see another concert in my life
jarvis fucking cocker badly drawn boy of my ass peter murphy of your fucking cojones
what a bunch of morons who dont know how to sing a song - if somebody was there who never heard sgt peppers in their life, they are going home now wondering what the fuck is all this fuzz about an album of such bad songs (which are not bad of course)
yeah nick, that orchestra was a disgrace too
only good thing marianne f. (she is leaving home and a day in the life, this one with that jarvis idiot), robyn hitichock who was pretty good and beth orton (lucy in the sky with diamonds)
and the fucking residents, 4 idiots masqueraded with 3 of them doing nothing and one pretending to sing

"Alex Chilton is no nobody" which presumably means you agree with me about the rest of them. Apart from Jarvis, who is more of a nobody than Chilton but still pretty good. The rest are pretty much the cast an album as irritating as Sgt Peppers deserves

Alex Chilton was great once upon a time, but the only one of those I'd pay money to see these days is Beth Orton.

it sounds like one of those silly free cover cds you get with magazines.
robyn hitchcock is probably the only one who has an idea of how to get a song across.
orton and faithful at least have good voices.

I can't wait to see Jarvis take on those two songs. Should be fun.
Though I prefer the sgt.peppers the BBC did a few months ago. The highlights being Pete & Carl Libertine doing A day in the life and oasis doing within you without you in the style of tomorrow never knows. The rest was just shit.

That Russell Mael is pretty good. I've always been a Sparks fan and him and that song with the violins etc in the background is as good as I thought it would have been on paper.

Jarvis, I dunno, but that clip reminds me of Howard Stern. Marrianne, yeessh, ooooff, ouch, not too good.
