could be a knee-jerk reaction to the trashy charts. fleet foxes arent too bad though.
mccartney once said that a song can be a throwaway like a comedians one liner. thats kinda lost on the current generation. even the comedians dont do one liners...

yes, for some reason modern bands think they have to be earnest to be any good. probably need a good run at mach schau for a few months to straighten them out a bit.

according to lennon "why dont we do it in the road" was a take-off of canned heat. beatles just "re-invented songs they liked but put more humour in them". must be something of the 1st or 2nd album since it was written in early 68.

interesting article in some of the mags this month. some isle of wight organiser givin it "free love, lets get high and join together as one" jizz. he's lookin for dylan, "has he shown up yet" and all that. anyway, bobs turn to go up and he still cant be found. so the hippy dude comes across him eventually and there he is counting out his money (10 bob notes and coins) with albert. making sure every cent is there before he goes on. kinda ruined his free love trip. hehe...
new one to me but worth the 8 euros i forked out for the mag.
