i think that guy arnon is behind this:
Israel has invited the remaining members of The Beatles to visit their country, a massive 43 years after banning them. The Middle Eastern nation banned the fab four from performing in the country back in 1965 over fears that their music would corrupt the youth.
Now, the Israeli ambassador to London, Ron Prosor, is calling on Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to visit the country this May as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations

Over 1,500 Liverpool residents have complained about Ringo Starr’s recent comments about the city.
According to the Daily Star, the residents complained via council phone lines and websites after Starr made comments about the city on the Jonathan Ross show.
On the show, aired last Friday (January 18), Starr said he didn’t miss anything about Liverpool since he left, and joked that he was “this close to coming back”, holding his finger and thumb close together.
Liverpool resident Gemma Dunn was quoted in the paper as saying: "He was just self-indulgent and arrogant."

Fifteen previously unreleased Beatles tracks recorded live in 1962 have been acquired by Fuego Entertainment, a production company which plans to release them in conjunction with the Echo Vista Group. The new tracks mark the first time the classic Beatles lineup was captured live on tape, shortly after Ringo Starr replaced Pete Best as the band's drummer.
The recording was made during the Beatles' first appearance at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany in front of about 20 to 30 people and includes songs "A Taste of Honey," "Hippy Hippy Shake" and Paul McCartney singing Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues." -

A lock of hair belonging to The Beatles' John Lennon given to a hairdresser in the 60s has been sold for an astonishing £24,000.
The hair, which had a guide price of just £2-3,000, has been bought by a telephone bidder at a Beatles and Film memorabilia collection at Gorringes Auction House reports BBC news.
The hair, attached to a copy of Lennon's book A Spaniard In The Works belonged to West Sussex hairdresser Betty Glasow, came with a message saying: "To Betty, lots of love and hair, from John Lennon xx."
Mrs Glasow groomed The Beatles' hair in the 60s, during filming of A Hard Day's Night and Help in the 1960s.
Glasow also sold a picture signed by George "Dandruff" Harrison for £6, 500.
A spokesperson for the auction house, Francesca Collin said: "It is astonishing that there is still so much interest in the Beatles and the sale goes to prove that John Lennon is still an icon.
"To have some of Lennon's hair along with a signed note from him really does give it fantastic provenance and authenticity. Collections of this kind are rare and the hair in particular is a real one-off for Beatles collectors."
The memorabilia also included autographed pictures and personal messages from actors Michael Caine and Steve McQueen.
